Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 30, 2026

Crop Check is a free browser tool. This page lists every piece of data it touches, where that data goes, and how to ask for it to be deleted. No marketing language. Just the facts.

Your images never leave your browser

When you drop or paste an image into Crop Check, the file is loaded into your browser's memory and rendered locally on your device. The image is never uploaded to Crop Check's servers, never sent to any third party, and never stored anywhere off your device. Exported PNGs are generated in the browser and downloaded directly to your device. If you close the tab, the image is gone.

What we do collect

Crop Check uses two third-party services that do collect some data:

1. Google Analytics 4

Crop Check loads Google Analytics (measurement ID G-7JEMNDXKM6) on every page. Google Analytics collects:

Google may set cookies in your browser to support this. See Google's privacy policy for what Google does with this data. To opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, install the official opt-out browser add-on.

2. Netlify (hosting + contact form)

This site is hosted on Netlify. Netlify automatically logs request data including IP address, user agent, and request paths. See Netlify's privacy policy.

If you use the contact form, Netlify Forms stores your name, email address, and message so the site owner can read and reply. Submissions are kept in the Netlify dashboard until manually deleted.

What we do NOT collect

Donations

If you click the PayPal donation link, you leave cropcheck.app and complete the transaction on paypal.com. PayPal's privacy policy governs that interaction. Crop Check never receives your payment details.

Sponsorships and affiliate links

If a sponsor or affiliate link is shown on the site, it will be clearly labeled. The site owner may earn a commission if you click such a link and make a purchase. Crop Check does not currently run any sponsored placements; if that changes, this page will be updated.

Cookies

Crop Check itself does not set any first-party cookies. Google Analytics may set its own cookies as described above. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings.

Children

Crop Check is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Data deletion and access requests

If you used the contact form and want your submission deleted, send a message through the contact form with the subject “Delete my submission” and include the approximate date you originally wrote in. Submissions will be removed from the Netlify dashboard within 30 days.

For Google Analytics data, use Google's account-level controls at myactivity.google.com.

Region-specific notes (GDPR, UK-GDPR, CCPA)

If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of personal data we hold about you. The only personal data Crop Check itself holds is what you choose to enter into the contact form. Use the contact form to make a request.

Crop Check does not currently display a cookie consent banner. If you would prefer Google Analytics not run during your visit, use the opt-out add-on linked above or browser-level tracking protection.
